Here's my stab.. for the most part I got it but there's always room for error
When I grow up I’m gonna be a star
I’m gonna sing my songs and play my guitar
And I’m ready.
I’m gonna change the world,
I’m gonna turn the page
Gonna step up here without this rage,
And I’m ready.
Going down, down the streets
(we roam/know/ real low)
Thinking about what I might be and
Looking out on my streets and I’m ready
Walking out and I’m not going back
Looking down on my feet and I’m ready
Going down, down the streets
(we know/roam/real low)
Cause don’t you know, I wasn’t born to follow
Realize the meaning of life
You’ve got ideas and I’ve got mine, and I’m ready
Living out on the streets now,
thinking about what I might be
And I’m ready.
Going down, down the streets
(we love/ roam/real low)
Cause don’t you know, I wasn’t born to follow.

Going down, down the streets
(we roam/know/real low)
Cause don’t you know, I wasn’t born to follow
Going down, down the old avenue
Cause don’t you know, I wasn’t born to follow?
I’m sorry, Your Honor, I wasn’t born to follow
